StarTrek.com – Graphic Design & Site Redesign

As a Graphic Artist for StarTrek.com, I created a wide range of digital assets to support the site’s monthly and weekly content updates. This included visuals for featured articles, product news, TV schedules, show recaps, community features, photo galleries, and digital banners. I also contributed to merchandise promotions and movie tie-ins. A major highlight of my role was participating in the site’s redesign, working closely with the web team to elevate the user experience while staying true to the franchise’s iconic aesthetic. My work helped keep Star Trek fans informed, engaged, and visually immersed in the universe they love.

Star Trek Desktop Wallpapers – Branded Digital Art

I designed a series of desktop wallpapers referencing original artwork from across the Star Trek franchise, including The Original Series, Star Trek: Voyager, and StarTrek.net. The goal was to create visually striking, collectible-quality pieces that stayed faithful to the unique style of each series while celebrating the legacy of the brand. These designs were tailored to resonate deeply with long-time fans and enhance StarTrek.com’s digital offerings.

Star Trek Animated Series DVD Mini Discs – Vector Art & Interface Design

This project involved creating vectorized artwork of the original Star Trek: The Animated Series cast and key scenes, using original photography and illustrations. The vector art was featured on interactive DVD mini discs, which included trailers, historical content, and gallery images for collectors. I also developed an animated interface storyboard to bring the experience to life. Iconic characters like Admiral Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Scotty, and Dr. McCoy were faithfully recreated in vector form, ensuring consistency with the original animated style while modernizing the assets for an engaging collector experience.

StarTrek.net – DSL Portal UX & Themed Content

I helped design the StarTrek.net DSL portal, powered by Earthlink, which offered users a fully immersive, Star Trek-themed online experience. My work included creating custom icons, unique photo galleries, themed interface elements, and a branded e-newsletter titled Gorn Quarterly. This project combined sci-fi nostalgia with digital interactivity, allowing users to explore their daily internet experience through the lens of the Star Trek universe in a sleek, engaging, and brand-authentic way.

StarTrek.net Advertising Campaign – Print Ads & Posters

I led the design of a print advertising campaign to promote StarTrek.net DSL service in collaboration with Earthlink. The campaign included magazine ads and posters that blended modern design with iconic Star Trek visuals. Custom illustrations and composite imagery were featured in publications like PC Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and Starlog Magazine. The goal was to create ads that resonated with both Trekkies and tech-forward consumers—bridging the world of futuristic fandom with real-world technology through high-impact, visually compelling creative.
